Late 2012. The images on this page are not at all representative of Earlswood; the best-known features of which are the lakes, reservoirs for the Birmingham – Stratford on Avon canal. We were testing our new pensioner’s bus pass, which generously also covers a large area of West Midlands railways, so have been to the various limiting stations, Earlswood being one.

These 3 images were taken at another, unknown date. This ‘feeder’ connects the lakes to the canal. The weather was dull – as most of the summer was – and this is looking away from the lakes towards the canal.

Here is the engine house that would pump water by steam engines into the feeder, should the level of the lakes fall too low.
